DIY Crepe Paper Floral Napkin Rings
With my upcoming wedding (read my engagement post here) I’ve been thinking a lot about easy DIY party decor. Specifically, decor that looks beautiful and elegant, yet won’t break the bank. I’ve found that bouquets of fresh flowers can especially be costly, which is why I’ve teamed up with Fresh Cut Crepe to bring you a great alternative! Crepe paper flowers are delicate, realistic and especially versatile. You can use them to make bouquets, garlands, and even as a backdrop for a photo booth.
Personally, I think crepe paper florals make lovely napkin rings. They have an added personal touch making them ideal for any garden party, wedding or bridal shower.
The lovely ladies from Fresh Cut Crepe sent me their Hydrangea Kit and Ranunculus Kit to create the perfect table setting for my ideal bridal shower! These two kits contain everything you need to make this project.
First, I assembled each crepe paper hydrangea bloom according to the detailed how-to guide, then taped them together in a cluster using the floral tape provided with the kit.
Next, I taped floral wire to give the flowers a longer stem. I cut out a crepe paper leaf, and wrapped the entire stem and leaf with floral tape.
Then, I twisted the floral wire into a circle large enough to fit around my napkins.
Finally, I covered the stem/ring with a strip of light green crepe paper.
I'm in love with how pretty this pink ranunculus turned out! It added the perfect pop of color to my table.
I wanted to show you how the napkin ring would look with or without the Hydrangea leaf...I couldn't decide which one I liked better at first, but I eventually decided on the one with the leaf!
I used inexpensive polka dot wrapping paper as the table cover, and floating white candles for an added touch of charm!
I hope you'll give these a try at your next party!
