Geometric Silver Leaf Fern Terrarium

Geometric Silver Leaf Fern Terrarium via A Charming Project with Instructions

Hi everyone,

It's been raining cats and dogs here in the bay area all week. A gusty wind was especially having it's dramatic moment and knocked out our power for several hours. Right when I was about to see which masked singer was going home this week, can you believe the timing?! If you haven’t checked out this wacky show, I highly recommend it! But don't feel too bad for me, I have HULU so I can watch it anytime :)

While I did contemplated a cozy night in, it was still pretty early so I decided to call Michael's to see if they were out of range of the power outage. Luckily there were, so off went, whiteknuckling the steering wheel and highbeams glaring!

When I arrived at Michaels and set my drenched boots inside I was transported out of the cold, dark, and wintery night and into Spring! A wonderland of pastels! I've been making tons of terrariums lately, so I made my way over to the Terrarium supplies by Ashland. In case you didn't know Ashland has the most beautiful and affordable geometric terrariums, and some pretty cute miniatures and supplies for fairy gardens.

I fell I love with their new Black Hexagon Terrarium and was lucky enough to score it on sale. Regularly priced at $25, I got it for a mere $15! Michael's has even brought back an entire aisle dedicated to adorable miniatures and terrarium supplies. I couldn't pass up the Mini Standing Bunny Fairy, and brought it home to pair with my Silver Lace Fern. I have a few of these beauties, that I picked up from Terrain a few weeks back. I’ve been meaning to return and check out what they have for Spring so I’ll definitely keep you all in the loop!

Once you gather your supplies, this project is easy extremely easy to make. Definitley a project under 30 minutes and the terrarium layers are so pretty to look at. This terrarium can happily live on shelves, on a bookcase or even a side table.

Terrarium Care:

Water your fern with a couple ounces of water every few days. Do not let the soil around the fern dry out completely. Keep near bright light but well away from a hot window. Once a month trim away any dried leaves to allow for more growth.
